What do you do when your girlfriend's family expects too much of you?

>She is 24. Asian. Finished college. Working
>I'm 22. Last year. Not working

I'm finishing up my CS degree, so I had to take an extra year. Her family is triggered that I didn't finish in 4 years, own a car, made a down payment to a nice house, invest in stocks etc.

My girlfriend is understanding, so that's a relief. I know I shouldn't give a shit on what they say, but it's demoralizing to keep hearing that I'm not some perfect man with no flaws. Give me a fucking break.

I think girlfriend's/wife's parents will always be disappointed at whoever is dating her, those fucks can't ever be pleased. Hopefully you and your girlfriend will be independent enough to not have to care about them other than visiting them like once a month or something soon. Good luck.
