Just as the hair on your head needs to match your face, you need to figure out what looks right in other places too.

"Trimmed" is usually going to mean that the transition from the crotch to the legs is cleared. Probably take care of ass hair too, but that can be a pain depending on the space you have when you're shaving. The rest will be groomed into any kind of shape you feel like, with any kind of length you feel like.

Treat it like a beard, that's basically what it is. There's grooming it, or letting it go and be a total natural mess (which is valid for some). "Trimmed" is grooming it, though.

I remember this former classmate of mine that was basically a Chad, he complained that he was pursuing this one girl for a while and when he finally got to fuck her she was "really hairy" and he felt disgusted and couldn't do it. Of course there where other factors like she used to do a ghetto/low-class guy. So I think trimming it once in a while is a good idea but only keep "long" pubes in the pelvis area the outer labia, inner tights and ass should be totally clean. At least until you consider what your potential partners likes.
