I can see a few different routes you might go. all of them will take time and/or money, so if you're looking for an easy and cheap way out, I'll tell you right now there isn't one.

1 - increase your attractiveness so you're not ugly
>hire a beauty consultant or stylist to help you make the absolute most of your features
>get plastic surgery
>work out, you don't have to get swole, but having a healthy physique always helps

2 - work on your personality, outlook and approach to life so people don't mind that you're less attractive. you should do this anyway as part of being an adult. the world has enough shitheels, do your part to make sure that you're not one of them
>cultivate the attitude that you are the ultimate source of all your emotions
>work on managing - not suppressing, but actually dealing with - emotional reactions and attitudes that are unattractive, like excessive clinginess, bitterness, being judgmental
>always be learning new things

3 - learn to appreciate other types of attractiveness in people besides just physical. the most effective way I've found to do this is to take a spiritual perspective, but if you're not a spiritual person, you will have to find another way

Idunno man I know a girl who's good looking and has had many guys approach her, she's dating a guy who's shorter than her and never works out because she loves his personality.

What I would say is to look for people you like as people. Too many folks get caught up trying to date the most attractive person and not the person they have a good connection and long term potential with.

You don't have to lower your standards, but it would help to widen them and stop caring so much about looks and attractiveness.

You'll get over it eventually. Just feel good you actually got the realization. It's better trying to chase easier women and getting somewhere SOMETIMES than aiming above and getting nowhere.
