I had a similar conversation once. I was with a girl who shaved and always had a ton of bumps and razor burn because of it. Because I like bush anyway (it's hard to explain why, but I reminds me I'm with a woman, I guess), and it seemed like it was causing her pain, I just told her "hey, you don't need to do that for me, you know. I don't care." Apparently, she was doing it because her sorority required it, so that didn't go anywhere, but she didn't seem offended.
