Are you talking about the white marks, or is there something in the grown-out part that we can't see properly in the photo? Because the white marks are from bumping your nails on things. All you can do is wait for them to grow out and then be more careful with your nails.

I *think* I know what you're talking about. That usually happens to me when my nails have been in contact with water for a bit, like washing the dishes or taking a shower. Some people's nails are naturally more translucent than others' too.

Yeah i guess so, my nails are also a bit weak so im guessing cutting them and growing them out will make them more opaque
You have a zinc deficiency, start eating foods with zinc or take a supplement. White spots should disappear.

If your nails are weak, take a look at your diet. You can try supplements too, but no one really knows how well these work. Some of it will be down to genetics, but a lot of it is also what you put into your body.
