i recommend that you speak to a professional about it, it is not easy to be in a relationship with somebody who is depressed. i did it for 3 years.

you have to take a lot of care for this person, but you have to remember to take care of yourself.

Hard time of year for her. Her father passed away a few years ago and his birthday is this month. She started going to school, she's working full time, and she's had a pretty fucked up life. This isn't her first depression

Do small things to remind her she is loved.

Don't be too overbearing about it though because she's probably dealing with her own internal stuff.

Try not to be upset if she isn't emotionally available. This is the hardest part. Just because she's depressed does not mean you need to be. Go outside and make your own separate happiness, then bring some of it back to her.

I have separated from my bf a few times to fix myself because whenever i was depressed, he would become depressed too. And when I gave myself space to get better, we both could get better.

You can help her by advising her to seek professional help. There is nothing you can do to cure her depression. She needs to seek a professional.

I've been there before, don't get sucked into more than you are capable of handling.
