How do I relocate to California to become a musician? How

Save up money to move out there. Find a shitty job or two to work during the day, and at night perform/network with people. Pray something good comes along that you can fully devote your life to music.

I don't get why you have to move to Cali to become a musician. We live in the age where you can gain a following on the internet if you do make good music

Yeah OP i think you're confused. LA is where people move after they become famous, not to before they become famous. The only real reason to move to LA for entertainment work is

1) You are an actor and you actually have to show up for auditions

2) you are already an established enough musician to get enough gigs to support yourself in LA
