So I recently got hired at Target for a seasonal position thanks to my friend. Target is about 2 miles away from me. Just yesterday I got an email that Ralph's (grocery store/kroger) would like to interview me. Its not seasonal and its about 2 blocks away from my home. My parents wants me to work there as its not a seasonal job. Now my question is what should I say to Target and my friend? Target pratically loved me during the interviews (had 2) and I like the community there. And I just thanked my friend multiple times for telling me about the job/telling the managers about me.
>Question: What should I tell Target and my friend if I did get the job at Ralph's?
Just be honest. Say you got another job offer for a long term position, and that you like where you currently work and that if they offered you long term employment it would be a win win. Say you don't want to leave, but financially it makes sense to go wherever the job is most steady.

Great advice! Thanks anon
you could tell Ralph's during the interview you already got a job, but that something could change your mind, >:) like sucky benis

Should I say that Target is offering more money per hour? Or would that be too much?

well you don't even have to say that, you could be honest like "I got hired at Target a couple of weeks ago, and since I had no response from you I started working. Now personally I love working here (ralphs) but I don't want to have a bad job reputation by dropping Target after a few weeks, unless you can promise me work for (whatever time you want)"
just a small example of which ways you can go during the interview, this is probably a better than worse outcome even though you may think otherwise. you have a job and you can get a better one with more pay or better hours if you put in a little effort.
