It's gotten cold. No heater in my bedroom.
I covered the windows with styrofoam and it kept outside cold from seeping through so to say (the glass was very cold).
But now I'm not sure it's the right thing as I read that you need to let as much sunlight enter your house in such situations. Still I'm not sure which one is correct or the better option.
bump?
wear more clothes to keep warm.
does the rest of where you live have heat? If so I'd imagine the sun heat is negligible and it's better to keep the heat from your house inside. why don't you get a space heater?
I used to work for a window company. You will definitely be losing more energy from a window that is leaking air than you will gain heat from the sunlight. Try re-caulking the window. That will help a little, but if your window is warped then that will only do so much. If youre a renter your landlord has to replace your window if it is in this condition. If they don't you can contact a lawyer and they will probably tell you that if they don't you can replace it yourself and deduct the cost from your rent.

That light is a free source of heat. Not only for your room but also your body.
Put the styrofoam up when the sun sets and take it down when the sun rises.

Only some of the rooms are heated.

It's just that the glass is cold. It leaks from under the window, but I can put some towels or clothes there.

I taped them directly on the window.
