what reasons could there be for someone to not reply to their so's text for 2 weeks?

and the same thing as above but to a close friend?
keep in mind in both cases they talked regularly (at least half the week or more give or take)
exclude getting kidnapped/raped/coma etc

Amazingly, there are some people in the world who do not spend every waking second staring at their phones in terror of being out of touch for even an instant.

I own my phone and I own my time. I check texts and messages when it is convenient for me, and I reply (if I do) when I get around to it.

Maybe the person just has nothing to say at the moment.
