I dunno man. I use head & shoulders every day, and it keeps me flake free.

If I skip a day, or use a different shampoo that isn't H&S I'll usually end up getting some.

It depends on what is causing the dandruff.

If it's a fungal dandruff, head and shoulders should work. If that's not working its most likely caused by a dry/irritated scalp in which case shampooing your hair everyday is only making it worse.

If you have dry hair/scalp then I would suggest unprocessed coconut oil. It will keep your scalp and hair moisturized. It has no long-lasting scent (your hair will smell like coconuts for 30 or so minutes and then the smell will fade) and it also has mild anti-fungal properties if your dandruff happens to be a combination of both.

I have as a sim problem in the past.. What I taught was dandruff was a skin condition i can't fucking spell correctly .. I found natural sea salt mixed with shampoo that hydrates works wonders.. Ever since i been using this mix of shampoo and sea salt witch you buy online for 10 bucks a 20 pound bag corse ground salt i have been flake and itch free .. I highly recommend giving it a try can't hurt other when wasting 10 bucks on salt witch if you don't use the entire bag up as you should not you can all ways use it to cook or eat as its plain sea salt...

I also use h&s and it keeps me free of dandruff for a couple days tops. Are you applying it properly? Letting it sit for a while? How many times do you rinse and repeat per shower?

If your case is severe maybe you need to go see a specialist.

I had dandruff as a kid. Actually it was dried scale which gave me super flakey skin. I used Neutrogena T-Gel and it worked well. Even gives a nice tingly feeling to your scalp. Pro-tip it feels good on your penis too.

try washing in cooler water

These are all the standard responses and none of them worked for me. I had dandruff for atleast 12 years and the only thing that finally cured it was nizoral.

I put on coconut oil for an hour or so beforehand because the moisturizing will help counteract how nizoral basically nukes your scalp of all life. If none of the other replies work try that.

Ya salt waters amazing for all kinds of skin issues.. I recommend the seal salt guy it off amazon 10 bucks put some in your shampoo not alot you dont wanna feel like your using liquid sand paper lol and give it a try... Worked wonders for me and my friends who have dry scalps and derminatitus ... Also helps heal wounds and is amazing when you have a bad infection i get those alot on my fingers do to my line of work and 1 to 2 days its no more just from showering and shampooing... Highly recommend giving it a try :)

You're washing your hair too much. Only wash you're hair 1-2 a week and every other day just rinse it out and use conditioner. The more you wash with shampoo, the more you wash out the good oils from your head causing your head to dry out.
