What the fuck is going on with my ass? I feel like an unsightly monster. I'm probably going to bed a girl I'm interested in this Friday and I'd be terrified of her seeing this. My skin is clear apart from this. I did used to get terrible acne on my face during my teens but I quashed that with the aid of roaccutane.
Should I see a doctor? I suspect it's dry skin that's overcompensating by producing too much oil. I've moisturised it before with okay results but it's never fully fixed it.

It may not be acne; it could be keratosis pilaris (look it up). Do you also have rough or bumpy skin on your upper arms? That's a giveaway.
My wife had occasional spots on her ass much like these (but never so serious, jeezus), that she got rid of with a moisturizer called Aquaphor--similar but not identical to Vaseline, popular among people getting in and out of wetsuits a lot and babies with diaper rash.
But basically you can treat keratosis pilaris with a heavy-duty moisturizer and by taking cooler baths or showers.
But not by this weekend.
Go to the pharmacy and get Betadine. It's an over-the-counter anti-bacterial soap that did wonders for me.

generally bacterial infections go away on their own with help of the immune system so thats why 9/10 people dont use bacterial creams unless its facial acne.

High possibility for keratosis pilaris. Do a peeling to make it smoother to touch. Get something antibacterial and a nonconedogenic moisturizer. When the day arrives, you could also use some bb cream to conceal the redness a bit witheout it looking caked on...
