No autism or any other social disorder as far as I know but I wouldn't be surprised if I did have one. I'm also incredibly cynical/skeptical/fatalistic/nihilistic and don't make efforts to hide it from people. I often correct people if I feel they're wrong about something and I see how that would annoy others. Poor self-esteem/self-confidence all my life so I never take risks or try new things. I also make no efforts to meet new people as I believe all interactions with them will be awkward or humiliating for me.

Since you each have the same problem this is directed towards you both.

Learn confidence. The only way to do this is to think about all the shit you're good at and think about how ambitious and cool you are. Focus on your positive traits. Confidence is SO important. As long as you're not being immature or annoying, you can say basically anything with confidence and get away with it. From here you can start to work on your personality.

Get a copy of How to Win Friends and Influence People. Dealing with people is easy when you consider how many there are in the world. Embarrass yourself in front of 1-100 people? Who fucking cares, they don't. They probably won't remember in 24 hours. On top of that, you may never see them again.

Rejection is not the end of the world. Laugh it off. It really isn't a big deal.

If you need to learn one thing, say the following things to yourself every time you wake up, at least ten times each, say them before you go to sleep ten times each, and try to remember each of them when sitting around being bored.
