Scrub yourself when you shower, either with a loofah, washcloth or sponge. Scrub your armpits, your genitals, your asshole. Scrub hard. Don't use cheap, shitty soap. Use a shower gel that smells nice. Make sure to wash the loofah/washcloth/sponge thoroughly.
If the bathroom smells good after you're done, it's a good sign.

You can powder your underwear with cornstarch or baby powder to help keep the moisture down. There are also sprays. Avoid taking really hot showers, because if the room gets too hot, you'll feel like you're sweating when you get out of the shower.

That's not even necessary if you have a routine down, that's just a waste of water. He'd be better off having a hot bath every week to help remove dead skin. I can get everything clean in 10-15 and never have these issues.
