torrent depends on what you downloaded, because it's your responsibility to check that you don't download something with copyright. what makes it far worse then is the seeding, because you help to provide something illegal.

So as long as the file didn't include any copyright information in what was shown, there is no proof that it was a copyrighted file, right?

I downloaded 1 file from pirate bay, and this is what appeared in my finder (what apple must have seen), different text files from several sites I've never visited:

1.) Downloading torrents is completely 100% legal everywhere
2.) Downloading torrents with content you have no rights to own ( copyrighted ) is illegal

my knowledge tells me that a torrent can be named randomly and could be everything, if there is no specific track left. The possibility that some police found out what you did by IP tracing and what they all can do, is several times higher than getting admonished by apple shit in this case. But don't rely on me.
