inb4 dungeon keeper
what about a night time security guard? I did that for a while and people leave you the fuck alone, you sit at a desk and read or do whatever you want. Maybe you have to patrol around the building a couple of times or something.
Pretty easy to get too, I just got my security license which only took a couple days, applied at a couple of security agencies in my town (securitas and US Security) and I had a job within the week.

I live in a shitty town (not US). I can't cope with night shifts but I would have gotten that one if there were only a few security companies in my city. Most companies hire them and they send who they want for the best jobs. I'll wind up guarding some shit on a field in the cold with no light (happend to a friend).

doesn't that require talking to customers?

a little, but if you're just stocking shelves or cleaning or something your interactions wont go much beyond shit like "hey do you know where the fruit is" etc.
Security's a no-go for you eh? Well here's a shot in the dark but after I left security I started working in EMS, have you ever thought about that? You say you have a calm demeanor that's a real asset. IDK if things are exactly the same in your country as they are in America (btw what country?) but here becoming an EMT takes 3 months of training, then its fairly easy to get a job doing 911s. It's not an easy job and you do see some shit most people other than police never get exposed to but its quite rewarding and every single day is always different from the one before it. You never know what's going to happen until it does. It's also quite amazing just how fast the day goes, I've worked over a dozen different jobs and I never had any job like this where you do a single job then look at your watch and realize 2 hours just went by without noticing.

Librarian? There's a bit of interaction if you are the only person working there. But if it's not, just try to work on organizing and cataloging and leave the front desk to someone else.
