In what way is your mind anxious?
My problem is that my brain is a never ending train of continuous active thinking. It is really bothersome. What proved some relieve was that I keep lists of stuff I need to do during the week. That way thoughts like that don't pop up anymore, because Im calmed, because it is written down.
Furthermore use f.lux on your computer. Maybe a 'white noise' device such as a fan will do the trick for you.

At least I assume my insomnia is due to anxiety. Whenever i lay down my heart rate goes up a little and in my head im like "fuck i need sleep im gonna feel so tired tomorrow please make me feel rested". I wake up terribly fatigued every day and it wears me out

That's not how it works, watching videos will only make your sleep worse. Try reading instead and I mean from a book, not from a phone/computer screen. Or maybe listening to an audiobook.

This - the brightness of a display triggers your body to go into an awake state. Try abstaining from TV-, Pc- or phone usage for at least 1 hour before sleep.

First of all, >>17580298 and >>17580265 are absolutely right.
Second of all, since the mind is a truly fucked up thing, you might find that the easiest thing to do to fall asleep when in bed is actively trying to stay awake - as in not doing any activity and just laying there, but trying to keep your eyes open and trying not to drift off.
You won't succeed.
I listen to ASMR videos - I turn the screen off and listen to the audio only. Works for me.

Watching videos is a bad idea, but I'll sometimes put on some music to take my mind off my worries. Something interesting enough to hold my focus, but relaxing enough to drift off to sleep to. Nujabes instrumentals usually work.

What I do is play some tv series that I don't have to watch or some documentary, and then i just focus on words.
That way i don't think about anything just listen and I fall to sleep much easier.
