I have no idea what I want to go to college for. I have no idea what I want to do for a career for the rest of my life. Everything I am doing to try and answer this question is failing miserably. Career sites aren't really helping. Youtube vids about the jobs don't really help enough.

Should I just pick a job i'm not really interested in and force myself to love it even though I don't like doing it now? Because I feel like there isn't any job out there I really want to do. Nothing really clicks with me.

Thanks

Rich parents supporting you? Medical school.

Otherwise? Engineering (doesn't matter which)
>>
Do you have Any interests at all? Chad? Robot? Regular? Do you like physical activity? Are you smart average or potato? Do you like studying or atleast are you good at it? Are you lazy? Do you prefer a desk job over physical work? Answer all of these and ill give some reccomendations

It's a bit of an unfortunate situation.

I'm medicated for bipolar and schizotypal. In a few years my dad will retire and i'll lose my medication because we won't be able to pay for it anymore. Once that happens i'll be too fucked up from my mental illness to be able to put myself through school.

And because my dad is retiring in a few years, I basically have to go to college now if I want to graduate in time before I lose my medication.

So I have a few months at best to make up my mind

I don't think my parents can afford medical school and i've never really looked into engineering much. My dad is an engineer though.

I am recommending those things because they are viable in terms of decent pay and jobs available. You are likely to hate anything you do, so you might as well do something practical.

This guy is asking good questions: >>17567997, I would answer if I were serious about this, though my advice stays: engineering.

If you have the brainpower go for anything IT. Arent as hard (imo) as medschool or engineering you will get a job easily pay is alright you wont have to interact with people too much which į think is think a plus for mentally problematika individuals but i dunno about that

Right now now i'm not really interested in much. I want to say that's partly kind of a side effect of the medication i'm taking. It makes me very indifferent in general to doing most things.

I would say i'm probably average intelligence if not a little less than that. I liked physical activity alot when I was younger but i've done no exploring into jobs that require constant physical activity and i'm very out of shape right now so i'd need to get into shape again. Which i'd be fine with doing.

On a scale of 1-10 i'm probably a 0 when it comes to studying. If I go to college at all, getting decent at studying will be one of my main obstacles to overcome. I can put in work and study for a few hours, thats not the problem. But i'm just incredibly ineffective at retaining what it is i'm trying to study. It takes a lot of work to make concepts stick with me.
I can't tell if this is because of a learning disability or just because of a really bad studying strategy or both.

The only thing I really know is I want the job to pay decently well and to be a job that will be in demand and not replaced easily so I can depend on having it. A job that isn't hard for somebody like me to get my foot in the door doing.

Its quite problematic because of your mental issues. Look Into being a fireman it would give you a stable decent paying job that doesnt even require college and not much studying. Besides that keep in mind that college degree does not mean insta good job and pay. Spend some time looking Into trades what pats well and what specialists are required įn your area. For example an electrician over here is a 1.5 year study and the pay is above average and if you become a good specialistai nobody will even think about replacing you. If you honesty dont have Any interests and want to go to college i would reccomend either IT or nursing. Admittedly both are subjects that arent very easy and require a decent amount of studying but theyre both pretty much guaranteed jobs with an above average pay. However if you pick nursing do some research will your mental issues will allow you to work in a hospital or no. Best of luck and stay strong. Il be here for an hour so ask away if you have Any more questions.
