Just found out an acquaintance of mine has schizophrenia. They are 25 and on medication. I have no knowledge of this illness, don't know what to expect. Should I keep talking to them?

>Should I keep talking to them?
Of course, treat them like you'd normally treat them. They don't need to feel more alienated from society than they already do.

don't let it bother you. trying to constantly analyze them is going to drive YOU nuts, and make you look like a dick if they catch on.

I just don't know what the implications are for me. So far it's been their aggressivity.

Didn't even caught on they had it until they told me.

>I have no knowledge of this illness
gee, if only there was some way you could instantly use some kind of engine for searching to find out more about literally any subject
shame that's just a fantasy

I mean beforehand, first hand knowledge.
I read up on it a bit but it didn't tell me much. Mostly what it's like for them, and what a psychotic episode is like.
Well i'm not schizophrenic but I am schizotypal.
After I told a friend I had this they looked up on it to learn more about it. Since then, sometimes if I share assumptions with them that end up being wrong, instead of being like "Oh you're not perfect and made a mistaken assumption like a normal person would every now and then" They categorize the mistaken assumption as a delusion caused by my schizotypal. Because a delusion can be a belief that isn't true that is believed to be true.
So that's been pretty annoying.

I can understand how that can be annoying. Since they have no experience with it, they may find it difficult to navigate, so to say. You've been very patient with your friend.
