>Starting college soon
>Thinking about a major in economics
What's a good degree to shoot for, and how do I not get screwed out of job viability?

Medicine is the way to go son.

I won't lie.
I have no motivation to become a doctor.
The terminology alone would probably tank me.
I don't think I could last in a field I care nothing about in the slightest. The money alone wouldn't be worth it for me.

I think I could really care about the people though.
I don't know if I could have my life become my job though.

Better question to ask from the start: what actually interests you?
I've seen people who say they want to do economics.... until they actually take their first class of macroeconomics.

OP here
You're right. There are probably youtube videos/books available where I can experience any major I wish.
I really don't have an interests in anything, but there has to be something I'm over looking.
See, I'm INFP, and I'm really only drawn to art/photography/animation. Despite this, there are virtually no jobs in those fields.
I've been thinking about taking up journalism, but I don't know if I can even write well as I've never had it as a hobby aside from writing copy pastas on 4chan.
The only option I can see where I achieve my dreams is not even attending college and cocooning myself in my room and drawing for 8-10 hours a day.
