How to pick up a girl you've only met once and haven't talked to in a almost a year.
Over winter break, I went to a party and met this girl. She seemed to be decently interested in me- atleast enough where I'd feel comfortable asking her out. Only problem is she had a boyfriend at the time.
I recently found out, from a 3rd party, that they broke up. I don't know how long ago.
I feel like I have 3 options at this point:
I can send her a text message. I have her number, but she didn't give it to me. The day after the party the host put all of us in a group chat- I saved it from there. Ideally, I'd just pretend I don't know whose number it is.
Or I could just be more upfront about it and add her on facebook and pretend to be ignorant to the fact that she had a boyfriend. I don't like this idea as much.
OR I can ask our mutual friend to see if she can hook us up. She is a very nice person, but I don't really feel comfortable doing that.
I will admit I have a pretty decent track record of suddenly messaging girls I haven't talked to in a while and geting dates from them.
Can I get some advice? What should I do?Thanks.

First of all I have a single dorm so no roommate. Also I have not been very social with the people on my floor at all. Anyway I ended up seeing her for the first time this morning and she looked pretty cute. Not 10/10 but 6/10 at least with blonde hair blue eyes. Also not saying she's not a whore but I haven't heard her bring any guys over to her room yet. What's a non weird reason to knock on her dorm?
Im decent looking though kinda autistic of course which is why I'm here. Also there's a chance she might think I'm kind of weird since I got high on cough medicine last weekend and threw up a little bit in my trash can and she might've heard that, and also because I stay up pretty late, and also because she might've heard me talking about Trump or something pol tier with my friends back home when I play steam with them. Pls help.

I didn't ask her out. She actually invited me to go to (local food mart) but I turned her down because I didn't feel like spending time with a girl I just met and her boyfriend. She seemed kind of upset when I said no.

Well, anon, you could just go with your original idea of being honest with her, about having her number, OR you could talk to the friend, which might be even better, as she could put in a good word for you.It's important to know how she's feeling after the breakup before anything though, to be sure you're not a rebound assuming she shows any interest. If all seems well have the friend mention you, see if she remembers or is interested at all. Go from there.
