Are you sure he wasn't? Bullying often gets cyclic: many bullies are themselves bullied by others, and many victims wind up with their own victims. I got caught in a cycle myself -I still carry deep regrets about it- so I cannot rule out the possibility that this guy was similar.

That said, though: come forward. If this guy is telling rhe truth, it could spark a public conversation about cyclic bullying that frankly needs to happen. And if he really is just pretending, then he needs to be nailed to the wall.
