I think the fairy tale version of what men and women are supposed to be have diverged greatly from what most people find personally fulfilling.

The ideas of what gender roles we're supposed to fit just haven't caught up with what options our current climate have afforded us.

I think what I said is definitely true. Society is far more comfortable with a woman who isn't forceful and takes charge and doesn't try to harness her sexuality in her daily interactions.
