It's a learning lesson about life.
Everyone dies.
What did you do to make their life better?
That's all that matters.
When I was a teenager, I came home after school to find my cat dead. I walked into the basement and stepped on a blanket. Underneath was my cat and I felt the bones of its feet move when I stepped on it.
It was quite dead.
My mum had left home to pick up my sister and I came home in the interim.
She later told me, my mum, that the cat had walked up the basement stairs, screamed, and then dropped dead shitting itself.
Likely a heart defect. It was a stray kitten after all.
That's life though.
You get used to it. I had 3 cats 3 dogs, 2 birds, 2 lizards, 3 fish, and 1 hamster. I had them all as a teenager and buried them all in our Pet Semetary.
I loved them all. Always will. But I know their lives were temporary.
One my of dogs is still alive and living with my mother. Fuck he's old now.
And when he dies, I'll cry and love him all the more. But I know he's lived a good life.
Love your animals. Especially dogs.

I legitimately don't understand why people cry over the death of animals with limited sentience
I don't see people crying over killing ants
also
>semetary
Get a new pet. Trust me. You'll still be upset, but you'll have a new focus for your love.

I legitimately don't understand why you would post this when everyone here already knows you're autistic
>>17527151
People know why I said "semetary".
People cry over animals because they experience love from them and to them.
Animals are far simpler but they still feel.
When they die, there is a loss.
Dogs are among the beings on the Earth that come close to humans. They are very simple but they feel like we do. All the emotions we have, they feel, but at a simpler level.
People understand this. When they die it hurts us because we lose that type of reciprocation, however simple it is

I'm not the one crying over subservient inferior life-forms
Why are you responding to a trip? You probably didn't mean to, but you're making the board a worse place. Just ignore him.
>>17527174
Sorry, I'm a tad drunk.
I just want to talk to anyone who wants to talk to me.
I hate trips usually.

I don't believe an animal like a dog is capable of expressing love and I think misappropriation of emotional energy will only make you more miserable in the end

Dogs are totally capable of love. A simpler love but a true one, nonetheless.
I'm blocking you now. I don't have this board's list of blocked tripfags, but I can start with you

OP
it happens. but, know that having a pet means, your job is to give them happiness and a comfy place until they die
did you do that? be happy.
don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened.
give it some time, then when you're ready get a new pet. trust me.
and for that, just the same. it will likely die on you.
so treat it well, and keep it comfy, every day. it's your duty.
