Since you're debating between Mechatronics and IT, just choose whichever. Just don't choose pure Math.

Accounting, hedge funds, and corporate real estate is where the finance cash is. Markets are mostly run by the AI's designed by mathematicians with doctorate degrees. Help desk is suicide inducing. If you go into IT go into network infrastructure construction or software/systems engineering.

Mech because IT will end you in a shitty office, computer science is like a good version of IT where you don't just learn excel
Mechatronics is a shitty version of Mechanical Engineering, but still good
