Im pretty grateful i have a solid group of friends. There was a time when I was 19 to about 23 where i had only one friend. If he wasn't around I would be alone. I mean maybe having a group of friends helps with getting laid if you are putting forth effort. For someone like me who is completely passive when it comes to these things it doesnt really matter how large my social circle is.

It made highschool pretty easy honestly. I got it over with and suddenly realized that it's overhyped.

It's super frustrating being a permasingle when the reason is just simply that I never meet anyone I'd want to date. I'm average looking, pretty good body so no problem there. I'm introverted sure, but my social skills are good when I feel like using them. But literally no one at my age is single, unless they're ugly as heck and have a terrible personality. I just can't click with anyone. I'd date any of my best friends honestly, but they're all taken. I've never had a crush on someone I don't properly know, looks do nothing to me, it's all about the person. But that makes it really difficult, because i have to try and befriend people all the time, just to realize that nope, don't feel anything, and then move on to the next. And it's hard work for someone who'd rather spend all free time writing/painting quietly in my room. After all these years I'm just really getting tired of it. Sometimes the people I befriend develop feelings for me, which might soud nice, but it really pains me to reject them. I'm getting tired of that, too. I don't want to say no anymore, but I also can't settle for someone I know I don't want to be with. The whole concept of being in a relationship is so strange for me, it's so weird that it's a normal part of almost everybody's lives. Everybody is always talking about their partners, it's like a whole world that I've never even had a taste of. I'm trying to be grateful for what I have, but it's hard not to be bitter at my friends who always come to me complaining about their relationship.
