The reason the govt would need to pay for it is if the govt directly or indirectly supported it, through violation of law and principle. Repairing damage done --reparations if you will.

Strict money is a dumb way to do it, but educational scholarships and well-policed community reform seems good. Thus we get the ignorant lower class infighting until it starts to boil over into higher class's efficacy of wealth generation.

OP Here. After thinking about it for a few days I think I've figured out what happened. Her grandfather recently passed away, and he was the only one in her family who doesn't constantly shit talk white people and didn't mind that she was dating a white guy. He passed away a few months ago and shes been seeing more and more of her family as a result. I'm 100% positive now that shes been swayed by the rest of her family. It sucks because while I know they're her family, most of them take advantage of her and ive told her many times but she wont listen. If we breakup I just hope she can see this one day.
