I used to have a profile on that site and I got sick and tired of getting hundreds of the boring "hi how are u" messages. And you know, keeping up so many different conversations at the same time or going through all of their profiles is hard and tiring, so you gotta choose the ones that stick out. I would usually answer people who mentioned some interest I talked about on my profile, or just said something more interesting.
