I live in a small apartment building with 4 floors. I moved into the 4th floor but now I'm moving into the first a month later. It's a long story.

The problem is that I had Internet installed up here, and now they want me to pay their bullshit (((installation fee))) again just to move downstairs. I don't really feel like paying a guy 60 bucks to plug in a cable. I tried doing it myself but I can't receive Internet.

Does anybody know the exact process of what they do?

a) Call up Customer Service and tell them you moved your modem into a different room (don't mention that you actually moved apartments) and now it won't work. They'll be able to do it once you give them some numbers on the back of the modem to synchronize it.

b) Pay the $60.
