In my humble experience, extremely tiny school, every single girl who was a "fucked up", snotty, obnoxious, ignorant, whatever you want to call it, was that way before they entered into the sorority. I also have many friends who joined both fraternities and sororities who were cool people from beginning to end. And i even had one friend who was in a sorority but never hung out with any sisters nor went to any events but stayed in nonetheless because of how good it looks on an application.
