Why does culture glorify drug addicts?
The media pushes junkies everywhere, sports athletes on performance enhancing drugs, entertainers on narcotics, books push characters on psychedelics. Party goers on whatever they can get.
It's not even rare, the biggest most popular stuff like a musician is a junkie acting stupid and people eat it up and try to act like that, why are these people role models?
post examples please

Arnold schwarzenegger, cheech and chong, fucking you can't think of an entertainer that has a drug problem? fucking really actors, charlie sheen, musicians when do you hear a rapper not talking about drug deals or being fucking high? It's practically everywhere all the fucking time if it isn't explicitly anti-drug like fucking reefer madness which seems totally exaggerated but is full of examples of things that fuckin happened and that drug addicts actually do, it's implicitly in favor of it.

>if it isn't explicitly anti-drug, it's implicitly in favor of it
that's not true, but as long as you insist on having fucking rabies about this topic, nothing anybody says is going to sway you.

It's a sign of of power and control. How? Because if you are a pleb with a job, you can't do drugs because you are going to be tested. If you are weak-minded, you can't do drugs and keep your shit together. Some drugs are also expensive and a symbol of status. Finally, they are a symbol of denying authority AND opening up your mind to the unconventional (See Steve Jobs looking down on people who don't trip out on psychedelics).
I don't use or advocate drugs, but it's not exactly a complicated concept.

Culture doesn't glorify drug addicts, it glorifies money.
If you're a rich guy doing coke, people love you. If you're a poor guy doing drugs, its gross.
Its money, OP, not drugs. Also, the drugs aren't always directly connected to why people look up to them. Its possible to be a genius and also have problems. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
The difference between a famous drug addict and regular Joe is that the famous drug addict has what we call a "redeeming quality", meaning people are more likely to put up with you if you can generate millions of dollars with your art/skill as opposed to some no name mother fucker who works at a gas station.
People like to be entertained. Everything else plays second fiddle. That's just society. It won't make any more sense than that.

What so I don't talk like this is a fucking hand holding support group.
At least come up with an argument why it's not implicit endorsed, if you watch a tv show with a cocaine user it is implicitly endorsing the cocaine product which came from one source in the world even if you get it further away it's in favor of some fucking drug dealer dealing that shit and the things they do to do it. People see that drug addict and it's sympathy for the devil they're a person just like all of us but they do this it's practically a fucking drug advertisement that they manipulated people doing something like having a party and sex using the drug- which is basically rape.
