Girls hate it when you start off a conversation with "Hey" or "What's up". Next time, lead with with more of a conversation starter. From her response, I'd just let it go, because she seems kind of cold. But, if you want to pursue her, I'd say make the next time you talk to her in person so you can explain yourself.

No matter the gender, if you are interested in somebody, be it physical attraction or mental gymnastics, you give people a chance/try to lead in conversation/etc.

I'm not a dating expert, but I do a half decent job as a salesman, which works on the same principle: guiding people to the realisation that they desperatley want this thing that they didn't even know existed five minuites ago. In my opinion you're in an unrecoverable situation there. Nothing is going to come of that lead so instead of plowing time and energy in to it, spend those resources on something with a better chance of success.

Don't let it get to you though. What you're doing there is effectivley cold-calling, which is by far the hardest way to pitch something and has a ludicrously low success rate. That's why only shady companies use it, and why they only employ students to do it (or to look at it another way, it's why I work out of an office instead of standing by the door of a supermarket asking people if they're interested in fixed price light aircraft maintenance packages). The only way you can make cold-calling work is to do lots and lots of it, so get out there and generate more leads.
