I'm a 5'2" girl and I've lived in Orlando since I was 7. From ages 12-now I've basically gone out alone every night, up until about a year ago I walked/skateboarded everywhere alone. I've had a few close calls and I admittedly was not being very cautious. (14yo walking to a gas station at 2 am on saturday night in orlando alone with headphones in) I've always been fine. I think the idea of how dangerous life is is very sensationalized today. Don't let fear of the possibility of getting attacked scare you into not doing things. Plus, you're a 6 foot tall built man, not a good target at all.
