I'm terrible at having irl conversations and making friends with people.
It's not like I'm scared to talk to others, I just have no idea what to talk to them about.
I can do it just fine with my closest friends (I have only 3), but all we talk about is mostly anime and vidya (i. e. the few things I'm interested in), or just say some stupid shit for laugh.
I know you can live just fine with that amount of friends, but making connections is always useful
How do I improve myself, /adv/?

Same shit.
I go paralyzed in any social situation with strangers and when I do squeeze something out of my mind, it is usually dumb and embarrassing.
Don't know how to deal, I feel confident until the moment I need to actually say something.

either you need to find people who share the same interests as you. Or you need to brush up on other topics. Maybe a starting point would be to learn how to ask people questions, people love talking about themselves. Learn to ask questions, problem solved.
