Any good places to disappear in the US? That's "get lost in the crowd" disappear, not "bottom of a river" disappear, just so that's clear.

I guess an urban wasteland is a good place to get lost, in the more decayed places. Why not?
Just want to find a place to improve myself without the stress of constant evaluations and the perceptions of others. That, and to avoid the college meme if at all possible.

well you're in luck then, because people in a big city will be too busy doing their thing to pay you any mind. so unless you need to be surrounded by silence or nature, I would head for a major metropolitan area. more conveniences, better access to public services, and lots of opportunities to join in new things or just do stuff on your own.

That's fair enough, thanks. Will look around the net, see what I can find in some metropolitans.
Still open for other ideas. Specifics welcome and encouraged.

It doesn't matter where you go, just dress like a homeless guy.
People will cross the street to avoid you, and the few that don't will give you money. So, win/win.
