This. Not all lolicons are pedophiles, just like not all people into furry are zoophiles, and not all people into BDSM are into actual rape (although there are probably more pedos that are also lolicons, more zoophiles who are also furries, and rapists who are into hardcore BDSM porn.)

It's the same as how not all pedophiles are child molesters (though they are probably more likely to be than the general population), and not all child molesters are pedophiles (though most are).

I don't think drawings or thoughts should be criminalized. However, I'm not going to go Salon.com levels of retarded and say that it should be socially acceptable. It makes plenty of sense to ostracize people who are openly pedophiles by, for example, not wanting them to be around your children.
