Maybe i can give you some insight as to the perspective of the other side of the coin, since i seem to have the opposite problem.
With every girl I date, I feel as though she is holding me back/that I can do better than her. Although the girl I'm dating right now has a profound positive impact on me, I still resent her for her flaws/shortcomings.
