My brother failed uni and now basically is heading down the road of NEETness. How can I help him? He didn't do well in college and he failed his first foundation year of uni. (UK). My parents are worried and stressed about his future and he seems to not care and basically.has given up.
What could I recommend him that'd be an alternative to uni, since it'd be a waste to pay another £9000.
I hear stuff about going into trades and stuff but is that only America? I was trying to reccommend apprenticeships and maybe that'd be his only option possibly. Any help is appreciated

Sabbatical year. Throw him on a plane, tell him to come back in 2017 with pics from at least 4 continents.

A Trade is a good idea. If you learn the skills you can become self employed, you don't even need to find a job.
