When I was in uni I dated a guy who was 28 doing his second masters. So it's not unheard of and there are plenty of older folks. Just mingle with a suitable group or pick up hobbies where you meet similarly minded people and your age won't be an issue at all.

Literally, and I mean, literally no one cares how old you are at uni.
Nobody will be able to tell OP, even as a junior in college (21 years old) the kids 1 grade above me, seniors, being 22 years old, looked way older. To any freshman anyone who is older than 20 will seem like a super sexy beast. It's an advantage. Just don't go around opening with HURR IM 25. Don't even mention it. If a girl asks just say like 22 cause i took a year off or some shit. Girls like older guys anyway. Freshman love to get with older dudes anyway so it should help you. Just try to make friends.
Warning: it will be a little harder to be legit friends with BOYS around 18 years old because they are immature as fuck, and girls at 18 are definitley worse, vapid, don't know a fucking thing, stupid as shit. So when you're at a party or something just be prepared for like
1. fuckboys in boat shoes and salmon shorts trying to act cool
2. girls pretending to be drunk and being dum as fuck
3. you will be drinking so you will be tempted to talk shit but RESIST. just be cool mayne
nobody cares about ur age, loads of mid 20's fags in uni. shits fun man wtf else u gonna do in ur 20's these days? cant exactly buy a house and shit like they used to
Tons of people in university are around that age.
Probably around a third of them, even
