OK bros, here's my situation:
There's a girl I'm friends with on Facebook who I find myself attracted to. Here's the thing; we've never spoken before, or even met in person. I accepted her friend request because we know a lot of the same people. This was months ago, however, and I feel like I missed my chance to initiate a conversation when we first became friends.
So, my question is; how do I speak to a girl on Facebook that I've never met, but I've been friends with for some time?
Ask for any details and I'll try to provide.

Are you close with anyone who knows her better than you do? Talk to a mutual friend, find out a bit more about her, see about setting something up.
How about asking her what you know her from? If she asks why you're asking, say you're going through your friends and removing people you never knew, since you're SURE there's some in there.

Sadly not, they're mostly schoolfriends who I'm not in contact with, although i plan to get back in touch with some of them cause they were total bros.

That's good advice generally speaking anon, since i DO need to cleanse my friends list of a lot of people. This could work, although, (and I don't want to sound like a retard here who needs everything spelled out for him, even though I am) I'm not sure how i could keep the conversation going. Ah, i worry too damn much.
Thank you for advice regardless anons.
"How are you doing" tends to be a good follow up after she explained why she's in your friends list, and just go from there.

Actually, between that and "oh, you know that guy? he's cool" and so forth, I think this could actually work.
I think I'm gonna down some liquid courage and go for it. Thanks anons, it's small potatoes but appreciate a lot.
We do need an update when you make progress, don't forget to deliver, OP!
