I got into a car accident a week ago. I walked away from it fine.
However I now get a throbbing pain in my neck. It comes and goes and it ranges from a minor ache to so painful I want to cry.
Should I go to the doctor? My dad said its not worth missing work and I should man up and deal with it. But I don't want this to continue.

In case it isn't whiplash, dingleberry. A quick exam should pick up anything more serious, especially if you ask them to check for specific crash related damage.
This should have been the very first thing someone in an accident should do, get examined for anything life threatening.

You don't want to fuck around with neck pain especially after an accident. Fuck up your C3, 4 or 5 and ignore it and you'll probably end up paralyzed
