My best friend said to my brother and others that I have an "apparent lack of social skills". I am really hurt by this because this is someone I have seen almost every day for several years and said some really personal things to. I now realize that he always said he was busy a few months back around the time he said this. I feel like this means he doesn't actually like hanging out with me and has only been doing it because he feels bad for me. What should I do?

If he is your best friend I think it be best you bring it up to him. Dont be confrontational, just say " I heard...". Also you are here of all places and guessing you are into video games, it is probably true. Use this as and opportunity to improve you and your social skills and go outside to follow more productive hobbies besides video games and 4chan.

Actually no I am not into video games. I am into lifting weights and reading. Thanks for the advice though, I will confront him about it.
