Ants keeping getting into my kitchen at night.
It doesn't really bother me but my mom gets really upset about it.
However, she refuses to hire a professional to deal with the issue.
How do I deal with this? I've already tried spraying around the perimeter of the house.

find where they are getting into the house from (which door they go under/wall they are coming out of/ect) and put down something like Dupont Advion Ant Gel Bait there, it smells really sweet to them and they will actually carry it back to their nest and hand it out to the other ants to eat and kill the whole lot of them

Make sure the insecticide you use has a residual effect. A lot of them don't, and without it you're wasting your time.

What I did is follow the trail of ants back to their hive and then just emptied about a can of insecticide into it. It was a pretty massive mound
