Anyone here that plays piano?
I had some lessons as a kid. I have a piano and a shit ton of sheet music. I can play decently but i want to get better. Do i just practice a lot or do i need a more systematical approach? Any online sources? I have no money for actual piano lessons
I think the most important thing is to practice, but you should look up some videos on technique, like how to turn your hand, how to move your arms/elbows, etc. You should also experiment to find out what works best.
Be systematic about what fingers you choose, because one finger might work when you're playing a piece slowly but it might not be good enough when you start to play it faster. So if you start learning it suboptimal fingering you'll have to unlearn it to starting using a better one.
Mind you, I barely play the piano but I had lessons for 3 years so I have at least some feel for it.
