Any medfags in here? So my dad got chest pain early this morning while he was at work which lasted about 25 minutes.. He said when he took breaths it hurt, but then the pain went away by itself. He went to the doctor and he told my dad to check himself into the hospital so they can further make heart related tests.. I just left from the hospital and he seemed fine, he was sleeping quite comfortably.. Hell I told him to call me before they did the medical exams so I could go pick him up, was this a sign of a possible heart attack /b/? i mean if it was an actual heart attack wouldn't he have been on the floor passed out when he started to feel pain on his chest?

From what little you've given me, the first thing I would think of as an ED doctor would be heart attack. Big consequence, easy to rule out. Let them examine him and do whatever tests are necessary
