i'm a 23 years old /v/irgin so i need some advice please

her cousin says she's extremely shy and i have to be patient if i want something with her
i haven't talked to her in 2 days because my friend told me to and she didn't start any conversation as well
should i wait until august 12th or just forget about her? i really enjoy talking to her and if things don't work out i'll probably NEVER EVER talk to another girl again
