Went to 7th best uni in UK to study theoretical physics. I don't think I am that smart. Sure I can pick up mathematical concepts a little bit better than my classmates but nothing special. Not sure how it is in US, but in UK, you need to finish two years of college (I think it is equivalent to high school in US). I took maths, physics, chemistry, and biology is first year and for my second year, I didn't maths, physics, chemistry, and further maths 1 and 2 (which are basically equivalent to the first year of uni in terms of difficulty) the reason I changed my subjects was because in my first year, I wanted to study medicine but during the end of first year, I realised I wanted to do theoretical physics.
For my college results, I got A(maths), and 3B (on the other three).
Didn't really write a good resume... hated the idea of selling myself to unis. Got an interview, I think I did good in it that's why I got an unconditional offer. And that's that.
I go to Yale. I did a shit ton of extra-curricular activities and wrote about things that mattered to me on my application. My grades were not absolutely perfect, but I was #7 in my class of 500 in high school. My SAT scores were good.
I think I might just be a good writer or something. Not sure why they let me in. They just liked me I guess.
