> syrianon starts playing less, we ask how is it going
> "my father is worried, a bombing hit the other side of the city"
> he says he might be gone for a while, because they might lose the internet connection
> some weeks later he disappears
> continue playing mumorpuger cause, hey, shit's funnier than homework
> every now and again check on syrianon
> he never logged in since
> after a year there is a major update
> guild fails cause most of us leave as now there is a weekly tax to stay in it
> eventually stop playing cause the major update made it pay2win with other mechanics as well
> never seen syrianon this whole time
> fastforward four years
> log in cause fuck it, do a vana run for ol' times' sake
> burn the resources I farmed years before as I know I ain't coming back to stay
> remember syrianon
> start googling the bastard, his username is my only clue
> find a long dead syrian profile of a dota2 player with the same user name
> the profile has his actual name on top of his username
> google it
> found his instagram and facebook account
> log into fb, check his profile to confirm it's him and that the account is not dead
> discover he's from Aleppo, which was bombed in feb, march and oct 2012, checks out
> his last entry is from 10 days ago and he now lives in Bonn
> smug fucker is sporting a glorius beard
> you beautiful bastard, I am glad you're still alive
