I think what works very well, is just being plain and forward about that type of stuff, but it's pretty case specific. (depending on ur interaction, if u flirted at all etc...)

As an addendum though, I advise you to also propose a specific activity. It accomplishes several things:

1. It shows that you actually put some thought into it and paid attention when you were talking to each other (hopefully you pick something that is at least tangentially related to her interests)
2. It makes you seem a bit more assertive and confident
3. It helps to avoid the awkward situation where it devolves into "So... what do you want to do?"

Worst case scenario, there are scheduling conflicts or nothing that either one of you suggests works out (tickets are sold out, places are closed earlier than you thought, travel time/distance is greater). At that point it might be time to let Jesus take the wheel and go "Actually I don't really care what we do, I just want to spend some more time with you - how about we [hang out at this place near you] and maybe grab a bite to eat afterwards?"

Not really, just determines how much exp you'll get.
And it's not just if the circle is small, but if you actually hit it. Easier to hit while it's large so you get a small bonus, more difficult when it's a smaller target so you get a larger bonus.
