Hello /adv/ I am in a bit of a pickle. I started working last week.So my boss called me at 8pm asking If I could come in. I told her yeah but my insomia decided to kick me in the nuts and it is now 4:40am. Should I try to power through not sleeping or should I tell my boss I can't make it. It's a minimum wage job and the shift is from 10am to 5pm but I have to wake up at 8 to get ready. My insomia is preventing me from sleeping.

Don't bother trying to get any sleep. You've had this job for a week, and it's too early to start blowing shifts. If you have real insomnia, then you've dealt with this before. Just stay awake, then power through your work. Wait for your second wind to kick in.
